2019 House Bill 4656

Authorize no-fault auto insurance option for seniors

Introduced in the House

May 22, 2019

Introduced by Rep. LaTanya Garrett (D-7)

To require insurance companies to provide auto insurance policies that permit a senior to choose a less costly personal injury protection benefit, rather than the unlimited medical benefits that was mandated by the state no-fault auto insurance law when the bill was introduced. With enactment of 2019 Senate Bill 1, much of this bill’s proposal may already have been put in place.
