2018 House Bill 6556

Revise public school “dual enrollment” detail

Introduced in the House

Nov. 29, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Bronna Kahle (R-57)

To revise a program that allows high school students to take a college course and get both college credits and high school graduation credit, with the cost paid by the state through the public school district, based on the average per-pupil state support to public schools. The bill would establish that a course that is offered only during a time when the school is not in session may be eligible for dual enrollment, as determined by the school district or state approved nonpublic school.
