Revise mandatory student weapon expulsion if “bullying” involved

To exempt from mandatory expulsion a student who brings a weapon to school if “the events that are the basis for an expulsion were precipitated by the pupil being bullied,” and instead suspend the student for 90 days. If “the alleged perpetrator of the bullying was the cause of the incident” then this student musts also be suspended for 90 days. The bill also mandates that if school district receives a report of bullying from a student or his parents, it must respond within 48 hours with a plan that includes “the specific intervention that will be undertaken” to address the activity in the report.
