This would appropriate $38.772 billion, compared to $38.623 billion authorized the year before. The education portion of the budget (K-12, community colleges and state universities) is in Senate Bill 801.<br> Altogether, when both "omnibus" budgets are combined, the state will spend $54.912 billion next year, vs. $54.443 billion originally approved for the current year.
