To revise terms used in a state regulatory regime that applies to “metallic mineral” mines so that it instead applies to mining for “ferrous” or iron-bearing minerals. According to the House Fiscal Agency, this would "effectively allow the Department of Environmental Quality to eliminate any oversight programs for nonmetallic mines such as the Nonmetallic Mine Reclamation Program".
