To establish a one-time $50 registration fee valid for as long a person owns a “historic snowmobile,” defined as one that is over 25 years old and “owned solely as a collector's item and for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses, including mechanical testing.” Regular snowmobiles owners pay a $30 annual registration fee, plus a $45 annual trail use permit.
