To allow the Michigan Board of Nursing to grant a nonrenewable, temporary license to a registered professional nurse licensed by an equivalent licensing board in another state. Currently, until January 1, 2012, the Board may offer such a license to a nurse licensed by an equivalent licensing board or authority in Canada. Under the bill, this also would apply to a nurse licensed by an equivalent board or authority in another state.
