Democratic union/labor package – restrict certain agency and school management tools

To repeal statutory prohibitions on several subjects of union collective bargaining with public schools, the state, and local governments. These include teacher and school administrator performance rating procedures, school district layoff, rehiring and employee disciplinary policies, and more. Most of these prohibited subjects of bargaining were added by Republican legislatures and governors going back to John Engler.
