2019 Senate Bill 524

Require post-road construction pavement date signs

Introduced in the Senate

Sept. 12, 2019

Introduced by Sen. Kim LaSata (R-21)

To require that when the state or local road agencies award a road construction contract valued at more than $100,000 they must “conspicuously” place a sign at the worksite with the contractor’s name, the projected completion date, and the expected life span of the pavement. When the job is complete the sign must remain, if it involved a stretch of road more than five miles long, the same sign must be posted every five miles.

Referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

Dec. 5, 2019

Reported without amendment

With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
