Prohibit firing volunteer first responder for absence

To prohibit an employer from firing, disciplining or discriminating against an employee who is a volunteer EMT, firefighter or other kind of emergency first responder because of absence or lateness caused by responding to an emergency. Fired employees could sue for “equitable relief” including back wages.
