2018 Senate Bill 956

Create domestic violence confidential address program

Introduced in the Senate

April 19, 2018

Introduced by Sen. Rick Jones (R-24)

To revise the state enhanced drivers license and state identification card issuance law to accommodate the proposal in Senate Bill 655 to create a domestic violence confidential address program. This proposes that the state Attorney General give victims a “designated address” to which mail could be sent and then forwarded to the individual’s actual location. Under this bill the designated address would be the one that appears on enhanced drivers licenses and state ID cards.
