To authorize giving grants of $400 per semester credit hour to individuals who have been working for at least one year in childcare or early childhood education and attend an early childhood care, education, or administration degree program at a four-year college. Grants of $250 would be given for attending a similar program at a community college. Beneficiaries would have to agree to remain in the field for at least a year after completing the program. This is part of a Democratic teacher incentives package comprised of Senate Bills 764 to 782.
