2018 House Bill 6413

Permit state employee pension “double dipping”

Introduced in the House

Sept. 27, 2018

Introduced by Rep. David Maturen (R-63)

To repeal a ban on pension “double dipping,” and specified exceptions to the ban, in the state employees' retirement law. The provision prohibits (with specified exceptions) a “retired” state employee from returning to state employment, or taking a job with third party contractor hired to perform the same or a similar function for the state, and still collect government pension checks alongside his or her current pay.
