2017 Senate Bill 174

Create new public school qualifications and requirements

Introduced in the Senate

Feb. 21, 2017

Introduced by Sen. Marty Knollenberg (R-13)

To eliminate a current requirement for conventional and charter public schools to post annual student progress reports on their websites. The bill would also establish a new state accreditation system for public schools that among other things would require annual district reports on graduation rates, high school students in “dual enrollment” college or career preparation courses, how many students transfer in or out each year, and more.
