2017 House Bill 5106

No fault auto insurance reform package

Introduced in the House

Oct. 12, 2017

Introduced by Rep. Brett Roberts (R-65)

To authorize lawsuits against auto insurers that limit certain medical treatment reimbursements by asserting that a person in a vehicle crash would have had to get the treatment even without being in a crash. Also, to establish that even if a no-fault auto insurance policy was fraudulently procured, a person who wasn’t involved in the fraud is still entitled to personal injury claims reimbursements under the policy. This is part of a package comprised of House Bills 5101 to 5111.
