To slightly expand a law that allows precincts to be consolidated at the polling place where a county, city, ward, township, village, metropolitan district, or school district is divided into two or more election precincts. The bill would allow this for statewide elections except November general elections and the August primaries that precede them.

To slightly expand a law that allows precincts to be consolidated at the polling place where a jurisdiction is divided into two or more election precincts. The bill would allow this (with certain exceptions) for statewide elections except November general elections and the August primaries that precede them. In particular, this would apply to the May 5, 2015 ballot measure to increase the sales tax from 6 percent to 7 percent.
