2011 House Bill 4970

Revise forest management tax break program

Introduced in the House

Sept. 14, 2011

Introduced by Rep. Matt Huuki (R-110)

To overhaul the management of a "qualified forest management program" that gives property tax breaks to owners of comparatively smaller forestland parcels if managed according to state guidelines. Among other things, this and House Bill 4969 would allow owners to maintain a "camp" or other modest structure on the land. See also House Bill 4302, which revises a similar commercial forestland program for much larger parcels.
