2008 Senate Bill 1021

Require local approval of new school site

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 22, 2008

Introduced by Sen. Dennis Olshove (D-9)

To require the local government to approve the site of any new school. Under current law, approval is only required in townships, and by the zoning authority, not the township board. The bill would apply to schools in cities and villages also.
