Introduced in the House

Oct. 15, 2008

Introduced by Rep. George Cushingberry (D-8)

To cap at $112 million each year the refundable tax credits passed in 2008 that a film studio may claim against its expenses for shooting a film or TV show in Michigan. Refundable means that if a studio’s credit exceeds its tax liability then the state sends it a check for the difference.
