Ban phosphate laundry detergents

To prohibit the use of phosphates in laundry detergents beginning July 1, 2010. Under current law, these products can contain up to 8.7 percent phosphorous, and the bill would cut this to 0.5 percent. Senate Bill 152 applies to dishwashing detergents.
