Require schools to report on financial literacy programs

To require local school districts to report to the state whether they are providing <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/Legislation.aspx?Year=2002&PublicActNumber=111&op=View">model financial literacy programs</a>; require the Department of Education to report the number of districts that do so to the legislature; and establish as “the intent of the legislature” that this information be used to determine whether such programs should be mandated (rather than encouraged) in public schools.
