To specify in the state Child Protection Law that the surrender of a newborn during an abortion procedure under the conditions described in the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act” proposed by House Bill 5994 is not reasonable cause to suspect and report child abuse or neglect. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 1270 to 1274. See also House Bills 5994 to 5998.
