Introduced in the House

May 24, 2001

Introduced by Rep. Laura Toy (R-19)

To require child safety booster seats for children between 4 and 9 years old, and under 4 feet 9 inches and 80 pounds, and waive the fine for violation of this requirement if a person shows proof of a subsequent acquisition of a booster seat before the citation appearance date. This is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4821 and 4822. The bills would also make the offense a primary enforcement violation.
