This woman must hjave majored in 'creative taxation' in college-probably at one of our State-supported universities! What a terrible idea!!

This tax was trying in Florida years ago and was a complete disaster to administrate and operate. I see no improvement. Why are you exempting business-to-business transactions? Semi-wholesale exemption idea? Pseudo-VAT approach? Too confused to understand what you are doing to the economy?

About time someone tried to stop the forever increasing property taxes and schemes to get more money, while most of our homes are underwater with the mortgages.

Can't you guys make up your minds? You want to encourage the arts so you give huge write-offs to movie production companies. Then, afraid that they might be doing well, you tax entertainment to discourage the arts. Anyone else see the conflict here?

How about doing what your constituents have to do, create a budget with what you have and make appropriate cuts! Michiganders cannot take another tax increase, we've already had paycuts and layoffs, we don't need you rooting around in our pockets anymore! When are the elitist Democrats going...
