Snyder and the Republican Caucus conveniently left this little factoid out of previous conversations and legislation. While snatching money from pensioneers, the working poor, and homeowners, Snyder and Company "proved" they were just like the rest of us by sharing the sacrifice - taxing their own pensions. Lets see how far this bill goes

This Bill has lots of new language and would eliminate a great deal of language. Wonder if the Co-Sponsors have actually read all of this Bill ? Governor Snyder and the Republican Caucus have said much about getting rid of "burdensome regulation" on business. Will have to check with horsemen to see if this is actually the case with this legislation

The Michigan Votes website administrator usually does a good job of staying neutral in the descriptions of Bills. This time, the adminsitrator may have crossed over to editorializing with the amendment by Senator Hopgood.

Raising Taxes, consolidating Power in Lansing. The Democrats are all going to be for this, and Snyder knows it. To get the $500,000,000 all they have to do is shut down the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, there would be plenty left over to lower taxes.
