This really, really needs to happen!! The whole 'smart-meter' scheme is highly questionable, smacks of major 'crony corporate capitalism' and does not benefit either the rate payer or the environment! We really still arent talking about some of the serious negative effects of mandating these things: not only are there privacy concerns

Once again, so-called 'Republican' senators try to deceive the taxpayers by taking a portion of the increase in sales tax, supposedly earmarked for road repair, to fund walking trails!! So, the average rural taxpayer, who naturally must buy more gas, pays for the status trails of the elite who choose to live in the city and use land paid for
-
This is long-overdue! For far too long, the university elites and their miseducated acolytes have been performing a land-grab on the rural areas of the State. This Gaia worship has gone on for too long: it is time to begin using actual science to determine what lands actually need to be preserved and stop using taxpayer dollars and loss of property

Yes! So-called 'smart-meters' do noting to benefit the customer, regardless of twisted rhetoric to the contrary. As customers, we already pay a fee to have our meters read . .and continue to pay that fee the approximately six months of the year when the power company estimates the bill (which is illegal, but MPSC gives them all exemptions).

This is dumb! Although I dont particularly like the medical marijuana law on the books, marijuana as a treatment for symptoms of glaucoma is one of the first and most researched reasons for the use of marijuana as a medication. To try to specifically outlaw this is beyond stupid. Dont disguise your dislike for the current law by attempting to ban its

Instead of submitting joyfully to Federal over-reach on environmental issues, Republicans are supposed to be the leaders in exercising common sense. There are so many things wrong with this idea that I hardly know where to start: First 'Cap & Trade' was thrown out at the Federal level . . .but many of us are aware that the states and municipalities

If you'd bother to check the history of such schemes, you'd find out they're dangerous and they dont work! We dont have that many transit vehicles that they need to take one of our already scarce lanes.STOP stealing the motorist's hard-earned money to fund your little socialist dreams of planned transportation-this aint the New Jersey

Lets work really, really hard to make Michigan as tuck-unfriendly as possible. Maybe we can carry our manufactured products on those high-speed trains!
-
This is stupid beyond words. Many people in Michigan are still unemployed. Those in rural areas already are having a hard time paying for gas for job hunting, etc. Yet you want to find money for so-called high-speed rail for favored urban areas! We see thru this! No new gas tax! Instead, spend what you get for roads-NOTHING ELSE!
-
This is just about as business unfriendly as you can get! You're talking about essentially doubling the tax on diesel fuel, yet we need trucks to transport our recovering manufacturing industries. You already play partisan footsie and dont get the new Detroit Bridge authorized, and now, to punish the taxpayers for not understand the issue (which
