SHAME ON OUR MICHIGAN REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVES WHO VOTED 100% IN FAVOR OF LIMITING AND DIMINISHING THE PEOPLE's AUTHORITY TO RECALL. In 1983 two Democrats were recalled for voting to increase the income tax. One of those recalled was my then Senator Phil Mastin. Believe me - this grassroots effort was no walk in the park for all of us who gathered

No more expansions of corporate welfare! This is an absolutely horrific bill that should wind-up in a deep black hole!
-
I especially love the following aspect of this bill - "and increase the punitive award to a person who successfully challenges an improper FOIA denial from $500 to $5,000, plus actual or compensatory damages" which further protects the taxpayers best interest against government abuses of the taxpayers right to know.

How many more schemes will those "SERVING US UP" come up with? Fleecing those still working and paying taxes for their idiotic, costly "faddish" projects and toys? Is this not another violation of the Headlee Amendment - denying the vote of the people?

THIS IS A BAD BILL! What is the necessity and purpose of Senate Bill 1093 (Allow canceling certain property tax review hearings)? This bill is long overdue. We need fair and honest competition against the utility monopolies in Michigan!

I am absolutely ecstatic that this bill passed!

Totally agree with HB 5523. I hope it takes immediate effect. It is none of an employers or a school districts business what someone's password is and they have no business either requesting or mandating someone to give it to them. Asking for someones Facebook password violates an individual's privacy.

Totally agree with HB 5517 on repealing the mandate for barbers to need a license. The class time required and all the fee's entailed are ludicrous!

HB 5513 is questionable and curious to say the least. Why does a person have to be 90 years old to be allowed to expedite an appeal within 120 days? Why not allow this for a person of 62 yrs. old and up or someone who has a loss of household income? Is this bill meant to favor a specific person who is a friend or family member of Rep. Holly Hughes?
