How much does this cost the state????

I'm glad we got this worked out. Now maybe the senate can go back to working on the little things like the budget. What kind of message does this send to the citizens of the state. Can't get a budget done on time, but have time to work on the Fuzzy Dice Law UNBELIEVABLE

How about adding All bicycle riders take a course on what there responsibilities are for riding on the road. I have never seen a group on riders stop at a stop sign when riding on the country roads. They get to use tthe roads without paying any license fee. Lets charge them like everyone else.

Is the $200 in addition to what we pay for plates now or in place of what we pay now?

Glad you have time to work on something like this when the state is in the tank. What brought this on, and what is the purpose. Gene B

How about a law that requires bicycle riders to know the laws before they ride on the road. I see packs of bicycles riding down the road 3 or more abreast holding up traffic. Shouldn't they need a license & insurance to ride on the roadways like cars & motorcycles Gene B

This transfer of funds has been going on for several years. What more info do you need to make the change perminate. You are wasting time extending this every year when you could be working on new issues. GeneB

The helmet law was put on the books because it was said that helmets made riding safer. How does sending $100 to lansing add to the safety of riding. This is just another TAX imposed on the people of Michigan. Where does the $100 go in the state. If you pay the tax and get a sticker for your plate, what do you do when you ride your other bike, or ride

If we need a law for the transportation dept to use data from other states when we don't ther data we should replace those people. We don't need laws to substuitute for good business practices. IF our elected officals have time to work on this insteed of the budget problems, then they need to rethink their priorites

Adding more taxes is not the way to get more business in Michigan. Ask yourself why you would want to stay or move to Michigan with these laws you are looking to add. I just heard today that the state is ready to layoff 29 State police. We need the police in the state more then the elected officals & their staff. If you want to save money, cut the elected
