Yes, yes and yes! This is one of the most sensible pieces of legislation I've seen proposed in a long time. Naysayers: What about illegal do you not understand?

My reaction is quite the opposite from what the bill would ask. I applaud Arizona's actions. I also concur with the prior post that questions the necessity for a Michigan legislator to invest Michigan time on this issue.

This feels like something that could easily be abused--and is a slipperly slope to the loss of civil rights. Say "no" to anonymous tips for traffic stops.

I certainly agree with extensions to benefit/protect the CPL holder. But why should the responsibility be on the CPL holder to request an extension? This should be automatically provided by the state.

(all flames aside) Let's put a hold on the rhetoric, and move the CPL statutes forward in Michigan. This is a good bill, meant to standardize what is now a somewhat inconsistent licensing system, due to certain counties illegally placing additional restrictions or requirements on the entacted laws.

When renewing this year -- I was surprised to learn that this was not the case. This is how the legislation should have been enacted in the first place. Good bill.

While I agree that our student drivers should have sober instructors & role models -- I'm wondering if we really need a law. Isn't this covered under some other law?
