I spent 35 years teaching in special education with some of the more violent students. Six paraprofessionals were under my supervision. I am married for 42 years to the same woman. I have two children. One disabled, the other questionable. I am a patriot of my country. I served 4 years active duty in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam era. I never saw combat (But I served my country because I was young and I believed it was my ob ligation to serve). I am 65, live on 15 acres of land in the rual areas of Michigan and I am frightened. I own 3 hand guns, 2 shotguns and one rifle with lots of ammunition. My home sets 900 feet back into the woods. Until I receive my CPL permit I wear my handgun on my side at all times. I have been burgerlarized once and the police have never done anything to catch the person. My mail box was blown up with a bomb. ATF was never invited to the bombing site. My property has been tresspassed on numerous times. My life has been threatened several times over the years as a teacher (They just didn't like me). I always use "Please" and "Thank you in ev ery encounter with people" although I tend to present an aire of arrogance. I have no problem with murders being put to death. If my life or my famileys life is threatened with great bodily harm I will shoot.
