30 plus years fighting gun control
puts me in a unique position to offer you my thoughts and political
positions on the MichiGun news of the day. Some of the things I've
done. Publicly challenged Sarah Brady to her face at Wayne State
University in print and on the radio. Debated Detroit Police Chief
Benny Napoleon in studio on the air. Frequent guest on the late Mark
Scott's (WXYT) talk radio show. Served as Vice-Chair of the Macomb
County Young Republicans, Vice-Chair Macomb Coalition of Republicans
and elected Republican Precinct Delegate. Elected and served two years
as Macomb Community College Trustee. Fought the 1994 Assault Weapons
Ban by organizing and speaking at multiple rallies drawing upwards of
15,000 people. Organizer and speaker of the Gun Stock Rallies at
Freedom Hill in Macomb County also assisted and addressed the Committee
of 1776 Washington D.C. rally at the Lincoln Memorial, speaking
alongside Larry Pratt and G. Gordon Liddy. Worked with NRA President,
the late Tom Washington and Tanya Mataksa (NRA-ILA) on Michigan issues.
Lobbied members of the United States House and Senate in Washington
D.C. visiting their offices and applying political pressure to toe the
line! Brought severe political punishment to bear against the only
Michigan Republican Congressman who voted for the Assault Weapons Ban,
Fred Upton. Chased Democrat Congressman David Bonior around the
district punishing him at every public event he conducted with an
active picket line demonstration (Bonior Bash) complete with
mega-phone. Denied Bonior and Senator Carl Levin their exclusive big
money fund raising breakfast at the Mt. Clemens VFW by establishing a
picket line of which most good Democrats refused to cross! Brought in
or have spoken alongside pro gun media personalities; Larry Pratt (Gun
Owners of America), the late Mark Scott (WXYT), State Rep. / Senator
David Jaye, Senator Allen Cropsey, the late Neal Knox (Firearms
Coalition), Ted Nugent, G. Gordon Liddy, Allen Gotlieb (Second
Amendment Foundation), Aaron Zelman (Jews for the Preservation of
Firearms Ownership), Joe Tartaro (Gun Week) etc. etc. Founded the Gun
Owners of Macomb County quasi political action group that lobbied
Prosecuting Attorney Carl Marlinga and Sheriff Bill Hackel to hand out
general un-restricted concealed carry permits. We were also the primary
voice in the state, in fact the impetus for Concealed Carry. Was
instrumental in organizing spin off groups such as Michigan Gun Owners,
Brass Roots and Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners. The
requestor of Attorney General Opinion 7183 issued Dec. 26, 2005 that
overturned Frank Kelly's prohibition opinion 5210 that prevented
Michigun persons from exercising their federal right to possess
federally registered transferable machine guns! Yes, I am in a unique
position to offer you my MichiGun RepubliGun Opinion! Welcome!
