    Are you kidding me? While we talk about prorations, cut backs, declining enrollment, and funding shortfalls you want to PROHIBIT schools from saving money! This is irresponsible legislation. Yet, I see no problem with providing the requested verifications - that's something everyone does anyway....

    TO SOLUTIONS: I agree. Some schools ARE closing. But, not too many school SYSTEMS are going out of business. MY post you are referring to stated that exact same thing. I stated that schools are indeed closing-----------not SCHOOL SYSTEMS. And, that's an important distinction. If GM goes out of business...

    This bill carries a net ANNUAL COST of $500 million to $660 million. That's a net cost (savings minus expenses). This data is from the non-partisan House Fiscal Agency! There is no arguement about what happens if this bill moves forward - it will COST over 1/2 a billion annually! These are facts...
