This is no way to improve Michigan. Please use some common sense and DO NOT DO THIS!

There is no reason to jump by such a great percentage from what folks are used to paying. This is obscene and inappropriate. If you want to increase it, do so by no more than 5% at a time over several years.

Many people in Michigan do not have a choice about owning a vehicle. I do not live near a bus line, and my house is paid off so I won't be moving. Please, think about the PEOPLE of this State and DO NOT DO THIS.

This tax encourages citizens to use less gasoline by walking, taking the bus, riding a bike, car pooling, and buying more fuel efficient cars - all good. Higher sales taxes increase costs to the poor and encourages citizens to NOT buy more fuel efficient cars, NOT eat at the restaurant, NOT buy ANYTHING which might help stimulate the economy - all bad.
