     This is a horrible idea.  Why, if someone is innocent, and only erroneously arrested, should a DNA sample be retained?  Sounds like a sneaky way of just collecting DNA samples from everyone. 

    Who's going to pay for storage and retention of the samples?  Potential for misuse.

    Mike.....spot on! Horrible idea. DNA should only be taken in my opinion when a person has "been convicted" of a murder or child abuse act (possible more) but the law should stop there with this DNA thing. Big government goes to far and has to be limited.
