On Bills 5942 & 5943 I'm wondering if you "all" have given any thought to the County Treasurer (who is actually mandated by MCL 287.270 {sec. 10}) to require a check on your potential "animal abuse registry" prior to approving and issuing a County Kennel License to any such applicant. Also, how about all the "rescue" folks - some who acquire dogs from the county animal control & others who acquire by some other means - should they be required to do a criminal check - also, how about Pet Shops - many of which are still selling pets?? dorothea.knight@SBCglobal**.*net
