Another bailout to private individuals.  What is wrong with you people?  Haven't we had enough of this using public money to support a private enterprise?  Do you ever learn anything?  Not one senator voted against this bill?  Not one?

Haven't we proved a million times that public money going to private individuals is immoral, ineffective, and distorts economic growth?

You take money from Michigan taxpayers, teachers, small businesses, green technology and give it to farmers.  When do the farmers share their profits with Michigan citizens, should things turn around next year?  Do you give that money back to the retirees you took it from?  Do you use that money to reduce the sales tax rate?  Of course not.

Farmers take a gamble everytime they stick a seed in the ground.  If they guess right and are lucky, they make money.  If they don't they lose money.  Why are they entitled to this guarantee?  Why not the college drop out who thinks he's going to win big on American Idol and be rich.  He's taking a risk too.  Are you going to bail him out?  If not, why not?

Another classic example of moral hazzard, not that we need another one.
