This is a dumb bill and excellent justification for a part time legislature. - Using this logic Michigan should also ban the sale of kitchen knives. Do you know one of the most common causes of emergency room visits on Sunday mornings? Sliced hands due to cutting bagels with kitchen knives. - Really, the proper way to handle this issue is with public education and pressure on stores not to sell these blinds. Don’t we already have plenty ample government or .org agencies to do this education? - The “Senate Regulatory Reform Committee” did not do much “Reform” with this action. Wrong direction folks. This is just another layer of wasteful red tape thrown on the backs of Michigan brick & mortar retailers. - Government does not belong in this role and it is embarrassing to not only see a Republican proposing the bill, but also Republicans voting for it! - Representatives in the House: PLEASE KILL THIS BILL! (pun not intended… and by the way we’ve raised 4 children so we are sensitive to this issue) Rather than waste taxpayer resources on making State government bigger with more regulation and building redundant bridges (even if they are funded by the Federal Government – guess what, Michigan taxpayers ARE Federal taxpayers!), how about beating up on our competitor-states by making Michigan a Right to Work state? Indiana is smart.

Well, safety comes first. I read before the hazards of window blinds and this is just another confirmation that things are quite serious. Still, I am not sure a bill was necessary for that. I hope I'll find products that meet these requirements on Orlando classifieds, I need two sets of blinds.
