This is a very innovative bill and should become law. Residents currently get care by dentists in the facility hair salon which is the gold standard in the industry. I know because, as a dentist, this is what was offered to me. Podiatrists render care just about anywhere including hallways, conference rooms or even the residents showers. Currently no emphasis is placed on dignity, infection control or privacy. These providers mean well but this care does not meet licensing standards and puts residents and staff at risk. People in jail or prisons get better access to care. Baby boomers will not tolerate current methods of facility care. This biil is the right thing to do.
