The last I heard, Michigan did not have a legal definition of "brandish." Does one "brandish" by merely displaying the weapon, let us say by opening one's jacket? Or does one necessarily draw it and wave it about? Can one one legally and joyfully wave about a new aquisition? What degree of threat, if any, is required?
Sen. Jones might consider an exception for self-defense situations in which the conditions of ability, opportunity, and Jeopardy/intent have been met and the display of a weapon or replaca is intended to preclue the need to pull the trigger.
