    2011 Senate Bill 54 (Establish disposition of fetus regulations )

    Introduced in the Senate on January 20, 2011, to require all fetal remains resulting from abortions to be disposed of by means lawful for other dead bodies, including burial, cremation, or interment. The bill would prohibit the cremation of an aborted fetus with medical waste, and also require funeral directors to obtain authorization from the parents or parent before final disposition of fetal remains resulting from a miscarriage

    The vote was 33 in favor, 5 opposed and 0 not voting

    Now there are legislators who wish to label babies who lose there lives to abortion as "medical waste". Everyone knows tonsils, gallbladders and cancerous tumors (actual examples of medical waste) don't have eyes, hands,feet, hearts and brains, all of which are present  in a baby being aborted. Labels, no matter how undignified, do not change the fact that an abortion destroys a human life.  If we cannot respect this life while he/she is alive surely we can provide this small measure of respect I death.
