Good idea. It's aboput time someone made them responsible for something other than collecting a check. Maybe mama won't run all night and will have to get up and make sure her babies get to school.

 The problem I see with this is that " may require consent" is not the same as SHALL require consent. If the department doesn't want to, it doesn't have to. If the school requires consent to release the attendance records, it's over. I feel this may be politically motivated toothless feel good  legislation.
