This is a step in the right direction, theproblem that I have noticed is a lack of time, ablity, and/or desire, a lack of time to do a good job, because of an overload of cases, a lack of ability, if you can't get a job with a good firm you can always get a job as a Public Defender, in some cases an attorney just doesn't won't to put in the time and would rather take a plea.
In Iosco Co. I'll bet that over 90% of the cases are plead out for one reason or another. could be they aren't paid enough to put in the time.
