You know very well that this is part of the reason we are financially screwed up in the first place. Why should anyone be allowed to double dip when there are over 30 million people in the United States who cannot find any type of employment!

You guys are a bunch of self-serving, greedy creeps.

You have got to be kidding me!  This double-dipping nonsense at the expense of the taxpayers has got to stop! This state has created enough boon-doggles for the benefit of public employees that have treated our tax dollars as a slush fund.  We need to have this kind of brought to a complete halt!  No

I hope this double dipping bill isn't what the GOP is so proudly calling "creating jobs".  It seems to me that CPS could hire the neccessry workers, then assign one current employee to provide a one week training course, then put them to work.  That's what I would call "creating jobs".

Another consideration might be to bring in local, experienced, social workers that have been layed off, to fill the positions of the retirees.  That's what I would consider "creating jobs".  Also, make sure that the newly hired workers are contracted non-union people so that the state can set the wage levels and not the unions.

I'd like to know how early these employees are allowed to retire and how long they are allowed to double dip. Also, the pensions seem a bit high. I retired after 30 years in a responsible job with an electric utility and my (Contributory) pension is a little over half of the average stated in the fiscal impact statement.

How is this going to help the high unemployment in Michigan????

No wonder so many tax payers are leaving Michigan. I am seriously considering it.

When Sen. Mark Jansen says allow "certain" child welfare employees to double dip, does "certain" mean only friends and relatives of his?
