This is a reprehensible bill. The very fact that state retirees have
planned for something and been promised something only to have some two
term legislator looking for another state job when he's kicked out of
this one, try to change the game on them in MID-Stream, is sad and
should be derided. How much of the state's troubles (almost all of which
can be laid at the foot of our fantastic politicians and their behavior
over the past thirty years) must state workers be asked to fix?
A promise is a promise. Stop trying to balance the budget by changing the rules in the middle of the game!
