It would be far better to simply scrap the entire list of "gun free zones" for all legal permit holders.  After all, it's not the permit holders who commit crimes, and the idea of a gun free zone is ludicrous if/when a bad guy decides to break that law, too.  Schools are supposed to be "drug free zones," yet we all know that doesn't hold any water!  Lastly, a person with a CPL can still enter any of those zones if they openly carry their firearm, according to the MSP bulletin of last October.  So why not SCRAP THE ZONES???

While I have no objections to retired federal – or state or local – LEOs being allowed to carry wherever and whenever, I have yet to see any valid research that has determined that they as a group are so meritorious and beneficial to society that they deserve to be a privileged class.

Eliminate the “gun free zones” from CPL law. Support constitutional carry.

What the matter you MORON don't you think that we citizen need protection also and it would be to our advantage for everybody to be able to carry a gun around. Because the cops are only there after the crime take place so if you CAN think you should know that if we all carry guns it would be less likele that a crimial would want to take a chance to hut somebody with everybody having a gfun.

So all you Legislator get off your dead ass and help the public out .

This is a bad bill. People who have CCW permits are not the bad guys. It is the ones that don't have have one and carry that should loose their rights. This is a case of one size fits all. Please don't take rights of the good to punish the bad.
