This is one of the stupidest pieces of legislation that can possibly be proposed in this session!  It should die immediately in committee!

More job-killing, anti-business, nonsensical Republican idiocy, this time provided by Representative Franz, who might've missed the memo that we're not only in a fiscal crisis, but an ENERGY one as well.  There is no rational reason for this legislation aside from the possibility that the Representative has some nich beach-front property and doesn't want to see a nasty ol' wind turbine from his bay window.  Or it's simply brain damage.

I'm so sorry that Ray Franz is my state representative. This man is stuck in the 1950's. He wants to doom future generations to dirty air and non-renewable or hazardous sources of energy. Offshore wind is one of the greatest resources this state has, and new advances are making it more and more possible to site them far off into the lake, so that they are tiny specks on the horizon. And what alternatives does Franz favor? Nuclear. Thanks, Ray. Thanks a lot. One of the jobs of a legislator is to lead....oh, and it might help to read up on the facts, too.
