So it appears that even though the state has been collapsing in on itself over the past 8 years, our legislators still don't understand the burden that excessive regulation places on private enterprises.  Is this another case of crony capitalism?

As a private business owner whom Bill 221 affects, I am more concerned about the safety and protection of the elderly than the burden on my agency.  As it stands now, anyone can open a Homecare agency without prior education, experience, or even a background check.  This puts the elderly at an incredible risk for being taken advantage of, as well as abuse and neglect.

I think the only private companies that are worried about how this affects them and not the protection of our elderly probably shouldn't be in this type of business anyway, because their bottom line is their priority
