    This is the exact wrong idea. Start selling state-owned property, not buying more...at the public's expense (especially since...duh, the public is BROKE!).

     UNBELIEVABLE, I smell something fishy, As a Realtor in the state of Michigan,

    I'm sure that these properties appraise for the asking prices' and the property

    taxes being paid are worth taking off the tax role. Meet the new bosses, same as

    the old bosses.

    These purchases are funded by the State oil and gas well royalty money. No public money is used. What is a concern is when the DNR uses the Natural Resources Trust Fund monies for other than land acquisitions and recreation projects. As an avid outdoorsman, I support land acquisions for recreation projects.
