Why can't we have our state government focused upon providing essential services? Is taxing our population in order to give preferential aid to certain industries with funds dispersed by a small group of state "economic development" officials really going to make us more competitive in a global economy? Or is it going to breed a class of "entrepreneurs" who are focused more on how to get more artificial 21st Century Jobs Fund corporate subsidies at the expense of diverting their true focus on actually being competitive? Let us keep our tax dollars. Michigan has a lot to offer -natural beauty, a great work ethic, and a deep rooted entrepreneural spirit that WILL assert itself if government gets out of the way. For those information technology and agricultural processing firms that want to do business in Michigan -we welcome you. For those that need a subsidy in order to stay -we say go expend your efforts chasing some other artificial subsidy dollars in some other state that is focused on "image" rather than substance. Let us know how that works out for you once their artificial job subsidy funds run dry.
