Twenty years ago Republican David Jaye stood in my driveway and told me legislators were going to eliminate their lifetime medical benefits. This bill is a start, but it does not address that issue. How is it that the item pricing law which affects everyone in Michigan can be overturned in less than a week, and lifetime medical benefits for legislators, an issue that affects less than 150 of you is still not resolved after 20 years?
